Friday I'm in Love #1

Hello lovely followers, and happy Friday! This week I am beginning a new segment called "Friday I'm in Love", where every Friday I will be posting a series of pieces that inspire me, and hopefully it will inspire you too!

Each week you will find me posting about anything from trending art supplies, to quirky office decor, and everything in between. Hello! And Welcome to The Ruby Underground!

Hi there! I'm Ruby and I am a full time graphic designer, illustrator and tattoo artist in training. I recently made the decision to relocate to the lovely, rainy, Portland, Oregon and I couldn't be happier! Some of my favorite things are: watching horror movies, Psychobilly, Rockabilly and Punk music, anything that has to do with Halloween, traveling, drinking LOTS of coffee and of course, art!

Most of the time you will find me painting and designing in my studio with my cat, Halloween, or exploring nature for inspiration with my dog, Ollie. I am a huge fan of body modification; I love to dye my hair fun colors and adorn myself with fun jewelry and tattoo artwork. My newest passion is writing and blogging. I decided to start my blog so as to document my journey of becoming a tattoo artist, but it is quickly becoming so much more.
